This is a typical home refurbishment of a 2 bedroom flat. For a property of this size, you can expect completion within 10 to 14 weeks. Our work schedule is based on a 14 week period working 5 days a week.
In week 1 the existing kitchen and bathroom are removed. In weeks 1 and 2 the walls and ceilings are stripped and a timber framework is built for the new bathroom suite. Week 3 sees the lobby framed and boarded and bedroom 2 is boarded and made good. In weeks 3 and 4 the 1st fix plumbing and electrics are completed. The walls and ceiling are plastered in week 5. By week 8 it’s time to fit the kitchen, tile the walls and lay flooring in the kitchen and bathroom. During weeks 8 and 9 2nd fix electrics and plumbing are completed. Weeks 9 and 10 see the flooring laid in the rest of the flat. Finally, across weeks 10 to 14 the flat is painted and decorated ready for the new occupants.
