QED Structures can complete a structural engineering site visit for £350 +VAT. By sending them a photo of the wall you are looking to remove, they can mark a location where they would need to make a small opening at the head of the wall/ceiling to confirm if the wall is load bearing or not. If the wall is found to be non-load bearing then there are no further costs, however if identified to be load bearing a further £300+VAT would be charged for the steel beam specification and calculations.
